About KIP's language courses
With the goal of enabling local people to communicate across language barriers, KIP is offering free courses this year in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese.
For each language, the level will be introductory to beginner level, and the courses will meet once a week for 90 minutes over a three-month course.
Priority will be given to those who live and work in Okinawa City and those taking KIP's language courses for the first time , but depending on availability, we also accept applications from people in other cities and towns and those taking the course for the second or subsequent time.
*The course itself is free, but you may be required to purchase commercially available teaching materials (approximately 1,000 to 2,000 yen) designated by the instructor. Please note that the content of the course may be subject to change.
Dates, times and locations of each course
English, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese courses will be offered from June to August 2023. The dates, times, and locations for each course are as follows:
■ Beginner English
Date and time: Friday, June 2, 2023 - Friday, August 18, 2023
*Closed on June 23rd (Memorial Day) and August 11th (National Holiday)
Every Friday from 13:00 to 14:30 (90 minutes) 10 sessions in total
Location: Cultural Center, 4th floor, training room
■Beginner Spanish
Date and time: Wednesday, June 7, 2023 - Wednesday, August 9, 2023
Every Wednesday from 1:30pm to 3pm (90 minutes) 10 sessions in total
Location: Okinawa City Central Community Center, Small Meeting Room 1
■Beginner Chinese
Date and time: Thursday, June 8, 2023 - Thursday, August 10, 2023
Every Thursday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm (90 minutes) 10 sessions in total Location: Social Welfare Council Meeting Room 2
■Beginner Japanese
Date and time: Friday, June 2, 2023 - Friday, August 18, 2023
Every Friday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm (90 minutes) 10 sessions in total
Place: Okinawa City Welfare and Culture Plaza, Training Room 1

Applications for Japanese language courses can be made via direct messages or emails on various social media platforms, or by visiting our office in person.
Please apply for the Japanese course via phone, email or by visiting KIP office, not via this Google Form.
